Tau Delta Omega Chapter

The Tantalizing Tau Alpha Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated was chartered on March 29th, 2009 on the campus of Widener University! The chapter was chartered by Lauren Martin, Nyree Cephas, Erica Agosto, Sable Dickinson, Tanya Heath, Rosalee Murray, Sharon Jones, Latrice Mason, Alethia Lazarus, Tiffany Walker, Linda Robinson, Moya Grierson, Shaunta Davis, Chantae Belefanti, and Bertha Blamo.

Although young in age, but strong willed in their strides to serve, the chapter members pride themselves on their service partnership with City Team, a local organization that provides clothing, shelter, produce and weekly hot meals.

Along with City Team, Tau Alpha also serves at the Boys and Girls Club of Chester where they assist with anything from sanitation to aiding high school students in filling out college applications. While having such an impact off campus, the Tau Alpha Chapter simultaneously impacts their own campus by hosting events including, but not limited to, health care, financial literacy and fitness classes. As the Tau Alpha Chapter embarks on their 10-year anniversary this year, they gratefully reminisce on the past accomplishments of their chapter and make plans to prosper even further in the future!
